Chargeable Weight

Hi all,

When i create a manual shipment and if the rates are available then only i am able to view the chargeable weight on the Shipment identification tab. If i do not have the rates then i am not able to view the same.

Can anyone guide me on the Chargeable weight because i require the chargeable weight to be seen even if the rates are not present.

Shipment Agent with Event "Shipment Status - Received"

Hi All,
We Created and Shipment agent which will trigger with event as "Shipment Status - Received". when an event is entered using standard actions like 'Add Shipment Tracking Event' and 'Add Tracking Event' agent is not getting triggered .... But the same agent is triggering with Quick events and Standard shipment action 'Add Event For Location'... Even we added is_tracking attribute as Y in event group.We are using 6.3.7 version.. Can anyone please suggest on this

Generate invoice only when tracking event is updated

Hello,

Could any one please help me with the below.

We are trying to restrict the shipper to create invoice for the shipment on the basis of tracking Event.

If the shipper updates the shipment tracking event status "XXXXXXX" then only he can create Invoice for the shipment. If this is not updated it should restrict to create Invoice for shipment.

I have created an 'Action Check' for this. It is restricting to create Invoice but even though the tracking event is updated to the shipment unable to create Invoice.

Please help me with this.

Audit Actin ID used is "GENERATE INVOICE" and the "Allow Condition" is custom.

OTM-GTM 6.4.x upgrade

Hi, Has anyone upgraded to 6.4.x ? Is there any documentation available on what kind of prep work we need to do to upgrade to 6.4.x from a technical perspective ? Could you please provide the list of updates we need to do.. for example upgrade to 12c database, SOA upgrades (middletier) if any required etc.


We are on Oracle EBS R12 and on OTM 6.3.1 currently and use SOA as our middle-tier. Both SOA and EBSR12 are on the 11g database.

Map OTM Status tables to HDOWNER schema

Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to map the Shipment Status table in GLOGOWNER Schema to its corresponding table in HDOWNER..But, I could not find a relevant table that stores the status values in HDOWNER... I don't see the status tables being exported through default ETL job..

I'm looking for some guidance here to export the shipment status table with ETL process.. If status tables are not stored in FTI database, how do we workaround the problem?

Appreciate any input on this.

Context in Business Number not getting refreshed

Hi All,

We are facing very strange issue in our production instance.For order movement BNG rule, its context is not getting refreshed correctly.
After resetting the BNG rule via UI action, it works for first Order Movement and then we run through same issue.

Any pointer, please share.

Language for Tender Email

Hi,

I want to send the tender email to the service providers in a particular language.
I was able to achieve the same by setting the 'Language Spoken' in the contact to the desired language.
But this works only for few languages, when i choose German or czech, the email is still sent out in English.

Can someone please help me on this.

Migration Project

Hi All,

I am using this feature for the first time and I am facing an issue. After creating the project I would like to know what is the path of the ZIP File which is created. I am unable to import the project to the Production Environment as i am unable to find the path of the ZIP File of the Export.

Error while assigning Driver to the Shipment

Hi All,

I am trying to assign the driver to the shipment but getting the below error

Verification error for <SShipUnit Pickup and Equipment Pickup> of shipment <>: expected <Pickup Equipment, then SShipUnit>, but was <Pickup SShipUnit, then Equipment>.

Tried checking the logs, but no luck.

1) Driver is assigned to the shipment automatically as per customer requirements.
2) For Particular scenario's, Customer would un-assign the driver from the shipment and assign the new driver to the same shipment, On doing that, above error message is thrown.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Multi Leg Planning

Hi All,

I have a scenario as follows: -

USA-->SGP-->IDN
FIN-->SGP-->IDN
CHN-->SGP-->IDN

I want all the 3 shipments to go to IDN location together after all of them have reached SGP. I cannot create a Region for USA, FIN, CHN as it is not feasible.

OTM 6.4.0 installation ,getting login page error -RFC RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Pro

Hi ,

I have been upgrading OTM from 6.3.5 to 6.4.0 and everything went well ,all otm 6.4.0 severs are up and running .But i'm getting error when trying to open login page as below
Error 404--Not Found

From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:

10.4.5 404 Not Found

The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.



--->upgraded DB from 11.2.0.4 to 12c
---->Installed JDK7
----->installed fmw_infra 12c
----->installed OHS
------>created ADF using ./rcu from WLS_HOME/oracle_common
------>Installed OTM 6.4.0 ,ran dbpatch script (completed without errors )

And tried opening OTM url but got above error .

Work around :Given unlimited exiration to all the users in DB,unlocked all users and bounced entire OTM 6.4.0 env(WEB+APP+LISTNENER+DB) .

Please let me know if you come accross on this error .

importance of lane in otm

Problem Description
---------------------------------------------------
Whether it is mandatory to create each and every lane in otm with proper service time.
Suppose i have locations A, B, C and the lanes from A to B , A to C , B to C.

My question is here, after few days if I create another location D.
For OTM to plan and create shipment. I have to create lanes from A to D for Direct Shipment.

For multi-stop Shipment, whether i have to create lanes between all these locations.
e.g Shipment A to B, then B to D. Whether here i have to create a lane from B to D.

As we are Service Provider and serve our customer. It is hard to add daily new location and their lanes.

Power unit and Order Type

Hello,

I want to restrict power unit type to particular orders to Order Release status,
i.e. I have order type defined as status like normal_order, express_order.
whenever i have express orders, i want to assign only express power units to its shipment.

How can I do that?

Could any one please suggest how to add attachments to Shipments or Order Release or Invoice.

Is there any possibilities to add attachments in OTM by uploading from the work system.

Please suggest the steps required to do this.

Strategy to build an "End of Integration" Alert

Hello guys

I have been thinking on ways to raise an Alert to the use when the integration process is over.

We have a process that runs the integration everyday and we have tons of data that the user needs to wait until everything is loaded to start doing the planning.

I'm going to set up business monitors to help them to keep track of how many pallets have already integrated but it would be perfect for them if they could receive an alert saying that the integration of that load is over.

The integration is sent by the legacy and I know that OTM cannot prevent that its over or not, so we should send something to "sinalize" to OTM that its over so it could raise the alert.. And thats the exactly point that I would like to know whats the best thing to do.

Is it Possible to add Additional Fields in the Layout??

Hello,

We require some additional fields in the Order Release for Information purpose.

For this can we add additional fields in the layout or should we use the existing fields by changing the label name and give the attributes to them.

I'm not sure about these. Please help me with this.
Is this possible by Flexfields. can we create custom Flexfields for these fields??

Cancelling Shipment

An order release has been planned to 3 shipments (trucks). Is there is any possibility to cancel 1 shipment. Reason behind the question there were cases when the load was cancelled at last minute due to quality and loading issues
