Compliance rules for EAR using ECCN dual use code from Customs Info

Hi,


What is the best practice to create compliance rules for the COMMERCE Country chart so we make best use of the DUAL USE ECCN codes from Customs Info.


We currently have our ECCN codes created in our local domain. We have switched to the ECCN dual use codes from Customs Info. What would be the best approach to create EAR rules for item classifications. For example 1C995 class code is restricted for certain countries. The current configuration allows for only 1 class code to be setup. How do we make better use of the data from Customs Info so we do not have to constantly keep making changes to the rules.


Also, for the EAR licensing setup, there is a EAR control type in the PUBLIC domain. But no EAR control code. Do we create our own control codes ?


We are on OTM 6.3.1.
