Passing multiple shipment gid's to report

I have a simple report that users can access through Shipments>Actions. I would like this report to receive multiple shipment id's the user selects. I do not know how to create the sql to accept multiple shipment gid's. I understand how to use the report parameter setup inside OTM but am struggling with the sql side.
