Hi all, we are trying to figure out what 'automated' handling unit creation capabilities does OTM have? We would like to use OTM to 'recommend' packing orders/shipment based on predetermined handling units that we configure. Ideally we would like it at the Shipment level, but Order level will also be ok.
For example, if say we get 50 items on an Order Release, we would like OTM to tell us, based on say the dimensions of a pallet (5x5x5) and those of a box (2x2x2), how many pallets or boxes should the goods be packed in.
To take this further, at the Shipment level, if we have 2 or 3 orders on the same shipment, can OTM recommend handling units based on mixed items/lines across orders? So basically OTM takes some items from Order 1, and 2 and builds on pallet, and say some from 2 and 3 and builds one box etc.
Not sure if OTM has any such capabilities, but any pointers would help.
