Need to Reprocess transmission externally through DB Queries

Hello,
I am having a requirement, I need to reprocess the transmissions(Outbound/Inbound) from OTM without manual interaction. Is there any possibility to reprocess the transmission with DB script or placing the transmission ID in some table?

As per my knowledge I know the process to set it as REDO and batch will pick the REDO transmissions. But the problem is, our production environment is a very huge one where we get thousands of status messages/orders per each hour. So if I run the job for REDO transmissions everytime, there were lot many transactions with the REDO status. It will become problem for me.

Need someone's help. How can I reprocess single transmission in an automated way.
