Unable to start services on Application server

One of the application servers in my environment is stopped responding. When I am trying to restart services with given script

/apps/otm63/install/weblogic/glogapp-wl stop


After running stop script, it is continuosly on the same message "Stoping weblogic server" and not even ending the command. SO I am unable to stop the service and didn't get a chance to use below start. Status is in False in scalability servlet.


/apps/otm63/install/weblogic/glogapp-wl start

Can someone help on this why it is taking too much time to run stop?
