Assign Equipment based on Item #

Looking for a way to override a standard equipment type based on item type.

We are using OTM 6.3.1 integrated with EBS.

Today:
Equipment type flows from customer master in EBS to OTM. Example:

Customer A
Receives GC and PK Items.
GC gets Flatbed, PK gets Van
EXCEPT item PK 123456 that requires a flatbed.

How can I get OTM to plan Van for everything except item PK 123456 that I would want to be a Flatbed?

I would like to set this up based on item number in OTM, but no luck so far.
